The year is coming to a close, and shockingly, it’s been filled with less drama than most people expected. Self included. Last year’s disturbing list focused on such enemies of reason as teachers union president Randi Weingarten and Greta Thunberg, the climate extremist turned full-time left-wing activist.
Of course, 2024 is still full of drama. A lot of it can be traced back to some annoying people and there are too many to list here. We have to make fun of the worst of them.
1. The least dynamic duo
Let’s start with bipartisanship. Both the left and the right find MSNBC “Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski extremely annoying. I’m practically a founding member of the “Joe Joke” group. Until recently, this was a mostly conservative group.

They have spent years saying terrible things about President-elect Trump and other conservatives. Scarborough’s lie about President Biden being coherent earned him the “Worst Citation of the Year” from the Center for Media Research. “This version of Biden, intellectually and analytically, is the best Biden ever,” Scarborough told the audience. He threw in a “F—you” for good measure. Remarkably, he and Biden are still working.
Olbermann recommends his former network, FIRE MIKA and JOE, Scarborough, double down on left-wing content.
After that lie, the “Morning Joe” duo visited Trump and alienated their far-left base, with Scarborough telling viewers they needed to “grow up.” Their ratings went nowhere but have since gone up. MSNBC had to add another host and Keith Olbermann says it’s time for Scarborough and Brzezinski to go. Here’s Variety’s headline: “Keith Olbermann: How MSNBC can save itself after Trump wins? Step one: Fire Mika and Joe.”
He is not alone. Bluesky is filled with hatred for the pair and their show. I’ll be surprised if they still have a show on MSNBC by Christmas 2025. And I bet they will, too.

2. The divorced Karen
I, I, I, I. This is the voice of narcissistic journalism – Taylor Lorenz. She used to write about technology and social media for the New York Times, Washington Post, etc. And by all fair standards, she’s a social media fan. She has more than half a million followers on TikTok and another half million combined on Twitter and Bluesky. Now she has Substack readers where she promotes COVID-19 paranoia and hatred of healthcare CEOs.

She exited the mainstream press in August after posting what she claimed was an “obvious meme” in which she called Biden a “war criminal.” She was then called out for saying she felt “joyed” after the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, which she now says was “questionably edited”. She can usually be found wearing a mask and criticizes those who don’t, saying: “Hugging the air and breathing your sick breath on your elderly neighbors.”
Furthermore, she got into an online argument with statistician Nate Silver about her age. Lorenz still listed her Wikipedia profile as “ages 37-39,” to which she quipped, “Just assume I’m 50!” (According to Soap Central, the real number is 40, for those who care.)
But all of these things got people talking about it. This is the true measure of the success of Millennials, or Generation X.

3. Taylor Plus The Other
In the normal world, there is only one Taylor – Taylor Swift. It’s easy to like Swift and her boyfriend, football star Travis Kelce. (She was one of my stars in 2023.) They both had successful years. Her Eras tour was a huge success and Celebrity Net Worth says she is now worth $1.5 billion. Boyfriend remains one of the best tight ends in the NFL and his team is a favorite among fans and referees in their quest for a third straight Super Bowl title. (Boo here.)
The problem is, I’m tired of them. Be honest, if you don’t consider yourself a “Swiftie,” then you are too. It happens to anyone who is in the public eye to the point that your eye begins to twitch. Despite that, I still wish them great success both individually and as a couple in 2025. (Except for the Super Bowl).

4. He still has a job too
When it comes to inciting racism, MSNBC host Al Sharpton is outdone himself, as he returns to promoting the Tawana Brawley rape hoax. Then there is anti-Semitism. But 2024 has put him on the map for something new: pay-to-play claims.
It emerged after the election that Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign had given $500,000 to Sharpton’s National Action Network. This may be a good thing except that it happened before a very cool interview in October. Sorry.
5. A terrible “sight”.
I could write an entire column about the horror movie “The View.” Or 10. I was ready to highlight how terrible co-host Sunny Hostin is at being able to outdo her coworkers by being ABC’s most despicable bozo in the clown car.

Hostin called the Republican Party “morally bankrupt” and blamed Hispanic support for Trump on “misogyny and sexism.” She also called on families to boycott Trump supporters around the holidays because it is “more of a moral issue.”
But they had to kick it up a notch. Fellow hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar discussed why they haven’t seen Vice President-elect J.D. Vance lately. “He plans to be president when they get rid of Trump,” Behar claimed.
Whoopi replied, “So, do you think it’s Musk/Vance?”

Whoopi continued, “Stay away from the stairs. Because, you know, people stretch their legs to get in the way of you going down the stairs. Pay attention.”
They later claimed it was a prank but this is too dark, especially for three women named Sunny, Joy and Whoopi.
