Professional boxer Paul Bamba He died unexpectedly just days after being crowned WBA Gold Cruiserweight champion, his manager and family announced on social media. He was 35 years old.
R&B singer Songwriter Ne-Yo issued a joint statement with Bamba’s family on social media on Friday confirming the news of his death. The cause of death was not revealed.
The statement posted on Instagram read: “It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of son, brother, friend and boxing champion Paul Bamba, whose light and love touched the lives of countless people.”

“He was a fierce yet confident competitor with a relentless ambition to achieve greatness. But more than anything, he was a tremendous person who inspired so many with his extraordinary drive and determination. We are saddened by his passing and ask for your privacy and understanding during this time.” “This is a difficult time and we are collectively coping with our grief.”

“Blessed to have my family, my team, and all my supporters along the way. However, if you get what some might call a ‘stranger goal’ then go chase it. Anyone who thinks this isn’t as brave as you, prove people wrong!”

According to To Reuters, Bamba has a 19-3 record with 18 knockouts, 14 of which came in 2024.
