Nitish Kumar Reddy walked at the crease as the India national cricket team lost a quick wicket and the all-rounder played a tremendous role in the team. He absorbed all the pressure and made sure to close the one end and save his team from trouble.

Nitish, along with Washington Sundar (50), added 127 runs together and left the Australian national cricket team frustrated. The right-hander was very disciplined in his approach and made sure he punished loose balls.

Nitish Reddy slammed his maiden Test century, and the way he dealt with Australia’s fielders, especially Scott Boland, who looked menacing, was the highlight of his innings. The right-hander reached his century with a glorious drive against Boland.

Nitish Reddy remained unbeaten on 105 runs off 176 balls. He slammed 10 fours and 1 six in his innings before bad lights forced the umpires to take stumps early on the second day. Scott Bolland heaped praise on Nitish Kumar Reddy, saying the all-rounder can score from all over the ground. He praised him for giving his best in the Test conditions in Australia, adding that the batsman has every chance in the book. Speaking to reporters, he explained:

“I played the first match against him, the Prime Minister’s match, and then I did some tests and saw that he can score all over the ground.
